365NEWS gathered that Hon. Gab Onuzulike, a former commissioner for rural development in Enugu State, was killed by unknown gunmen.
Additionally, it was discovered that Onuzulike, a former chairman of the Oji River Local Government Area, was shot and killed on Friday night.
In a horrifying video that has gone viral, the victims’ bloodied remains are shown while locals sob.
The event happened in Nkpokolo Achi when the former commissioner was leaving a funeral.
Along with him, L Elvis Onuzulike, the politician’s older brother, was shot and killed.
A source, however, told DAILY POST that a team of security men gave the gunmen a hot chase, killed one of them and arrested another member of the gang.
The development has thrown residents of Oji River and its environs into tension.
