365NEWS gathered that popular Nollywood Singer, Burna Boy, has urged Nigerians to stop comparing him with the late Afrobeat founder and activist, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Burna Boy, who has drawn comparisons with Fela over his protest music, has been under fire recently over his detention of his colleague, Speed Darlington, for allegedly defaming him.
Reacting to the criticisms, Burna Boy said he is not Fela, stressing that the comparison between him and the late activist has to stop.
He emphasised that he would rather kill than die for Nigerians.
“Also all that Burna Boy and Fela talk needs to die now. I’m not Fela, l’m BIG7. I’m all about positivity, peace and prosperity but honestly l’d rather kill you than d!e for you,” he wrote via his Instastory.
the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer also said he won’t honour podcast interviews because they are not hosted by professionals.
According to him, he’s a professional and only a professional in another field is qualified to interview him.
“I no dey for all those podcast/ ringlight level abeg. I be professional for my profession, na only professional for him own profession dey qualified to interview ODG,” he wrote via his Instastory.
The singer, however, revealed his desire to be interviewed by popular media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Burna Boy said he doesn’t like interviews but doesn’t mind a session with Ebuka to clear the air on some recent happenings.
“Ebuka still dey do all those interview?
I no like interview at all but I go like run 1,” he wrote.
