The youth in Osun State are calling for transparency and accountability from Comrade Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi, the caretaker chairman who has been leading the organization for over a year. They’re demanding a comprehensive record of his achievements, challenges, and financial management, as well as a thorough audit of the organization’s financial records.
The youth are concerned that the chairman is running the organization like his personal business, without regard for transparency, accountability, or the interests of the members. They’re also unhappy with his autocratic leadership style, which they feel is unresponsive to their needs and concerns.
To address these issues, the youth are demanding:
– Transparency in Financial Management: A comprehensive record of the chairman’s financial management, including how funds have been allocated, utilized, and accounted for.
– Inclusive Decision-Making: Greater inclusivity, participation, and consultation in the decision-making process, to ensure that members are fully engaged and represented.
– Accountable Leadership: A more responsive and accountable leadership style, which prioritizes the needs and concerns of the organization’s members.
– Comprehensive Audit: A thorough audit of the organization’s financial records, to ensure transparency and accountability in the management of funds.
The youth’s demands are a clear indication that they’re no longer willing to tolerate a lack of accountability and responsiveness from their leaders. The Government of Osun State must take these demands seriously and work to ensure that the organization is managed in a transparent, accountable, and inclusive manner.
