365NEWS gathered that nigerian striker, Victor Boniface, has shared the details of a car crash he was involved in, emphasising his gratitude for surviving the ordeal.
Boniface on October 20 survived a ghastly car crash in Germany.
The striker, who plays for German club Bayer Leverkusen, posted a video of the damaged car on his Instagram Stories.
Recounting the experience in an interview posted on Sunday with Football Fans Tribe via YouTube, Boniface said, “I was having my childhood friend from Nigeria; they were coming to visit. So, we were supposed to pick them up from the airport. I was sleeping, and my other friend was driving.”
The forward explained how he woke up to find the car spinning out of control.
“I woke up, and we were spinning—well, we thank God,” he said.
According to Boniface, the car spun three times before coming to a stop.
Despite the severity of the accident, Boniface escaped with minor injuries.
“I just had a scar, but the most important thing is that I’m alive,” he said, reflecting on the incident.
He added that while the car was completely written off, the preservation of life remained his priority.
“The car is written off and everything, but the most important thing is life for me,” Boniface added.
