365NEWS reports that A 40-year-old woman, Fatsuma Bagobiri, from Garin Mallam village in the Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa State, tragically set herself on fire.
The incident was reported by the Jigawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who stated that officers from the Guri Divisional Police Headquarters responded immediately upon receiving the report on Thursday morning.
The woman’s charred remains were taken to the hospital and later released to her family for burial.
Initial investigations revealed that Fatsuma had been battling depression since her divorce a few months earlier.
