365NEWS reports that leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, primate Elijah Ayodele issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu on Friday, urging him to take necessary action to prevent a large-scale protest that could paralyze the Nigerian economy for two weeks.
In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele expressed concern that ongoing confusion within the current government would have detrimental effects on the nation and its citizens.
Ayodele stated: “When I predicted that diesel would reach N1,500 and petrol prices would rise to N1,000, eventually climbing to N1,500, many dismissed me as a prophet of doom and even funded negative stories against me. However, these predictions have come true. I foresee another protest on the horizon that will cripple the economy for two weeks. I truly fear for this country, as some banks may struggle to survive unless the president takes decisive action.
“There is confusion within Tinubu’s administration, and it will severely impact Nigerians in terms of the economy, security, and other areas. When we fail to elect God’s chosen leader, this is the outcome we face. I don’t see how Nigerians can find relief, as food prices will continue to skyrocket. The hardship is severe, and I advise the president to address these issues before the year ends, as what lies ahead is alarming.
“As things stand, petrol prices will still reach N1,300, and there will come a time when the government will need to call for recapitalization in various sectors, and call tariffs will also rise. The confusion is only just beginning.”
