It is deeply saddening to see the state of the economy of our dear nation today, as a matter of fact, I am writing this with a heavy heart.
No leader, or at the very least, humane person is happy to see his fellow men cry in pains over essential things that make living worthwhile, such as food, housing, transportation e.t.c but this is sadly the current situation all over the country since the emergence of the Bola Tinubu presidency and with the continuous hike in the price of these things our people cannot do live without, it’s only a matter of time before it turns catastrophic if urgent and drastic measures are not taken IMMEDIATELY to arrest this sad situation.
With the minimum wage set at #30,000, inflation has practically made it impossible to buy food, or fuel their cars, bikes and other mechanical tools. A bag of rice at #53,000, a litre of PMS is #650 yet the minimum wage is #30,000.
The average Nigeria is unable to feed and get for themselves what they need to survive and yet the Federal Government seem to be calm about these things while the sufferings of Nigerians can not be overstated and nothing is being done about it! And this is without bothering on the security challenges that is ensuring the killing and kidnap of hundreds of Nigerians on a daily basis, it is such many a very sorry situation we are in!!!
I want to use this medium to sincerely beg the President and his entire cabinet to do something about this sad situation immediately, it’s a common saying that a hungry man is an angry man, and it’s a common knowledge right now that everybody in the streets of Nigeria is angry, before this turns to chaos and results in catastrophic situations, something need to be done right now, the people’s expectations have never been higher and huge steps need to be taken.
