365news gathered that as the sixth executive governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has been sworn in and taken the oath of office.
Around 11:47 a.m., the State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo, administered the oath of office to the Governor.
Around 11:20 when Adeleke arrived, his deputy took the stage to take the oath before it was the governor’s turn.
He proceeded around the stadium to greet cheers from the crowd inside the main bowl after entering the venue, accompanied by his nephew David “Davido” Adeleke.
Prince Kola Adewusi had already been sworn in as the state’s deputy governor, joined by his wife.
They replaced the outgoing governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, and his deputy, Mr. Benedict Alabi, who served from 2018 to 2022.
