365news gathered that according to Jigawa State Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, oil drilling in the state will start under Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
The Governor made this statement on Wednesday night after presenting flags to the APC candidates in Jigawa North West. He was speaking to APC supporters at the time.
In response to the oil drilling between the states of Bauchi and Gombe, he said this.
Tuesday saw the official start of oil exploration in the two States by President Muhammad Buhari.
The Kolmani River Oil and Gas Field has reserves of 500 billion standard cubic feet of gas and more than one billion barrels of crude oil.
He said that Jigawa State was blessed with a lot of oil, which the Tinubu administration will explore.
“By the grace of God, Jigawa oil will also be explored during the tenure of Tinubu for the benefit of the country and the State,” he said.
