365news gathered that just two weeks after thugs thought to be political thugs attacked Atiku Abubakar’s motorcade as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate in Borno State, his supporters were once more attacked in Gombe State.
After Atiku’s presidential campaign in Gombe State, it was reported that at least three people were hurt in a clash involving Kalare boys and his supporters on Monday. The injuries ranged in severity.
Three Atiku supporters’ vehicles, including a bus, a sedan, and a Keke NAPEP, were destroyed in the altercation.
It has been claimed that the fans were ambushed near Pantami stadium.
According to Vanguard, the Kalare boys armed with cutlass, swords, clubs and other dangerous weapons pounced on innocent party supporters who were on the way to their respective residences after the event.
When contacted for reaction, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Abubakar, said he was in a workshop and could not confirm the clash.
