365news gathered that following Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike promised to assist Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, with logistics during his campaign, the Atiku Abubakar campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reacted.
Wike’s call for “justice” from the party’s leadership has been met with skepticism from the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee’s Dino Melaye.
In contrast to PDP, Melaye noted that Southerners hold the majority of jobs in LP.
Obi was a previous governor, according to Wike, and would thus give him all the logistical support required for LP’s presidential campaign in the state.
The leader of the G-5 governors disclosed this in Port Harcourt during the commissioning of a flyover in the state.
Reacting, Melaye, in a Facebook post, wrote: “Peter Obi’s visit in PH, Wike of Rivers state, stated that he would give Peter Obi support during the presidential election.
“In Labour Party, their National party chairman is from the South. The presidential candidate is from the South. Their DG is from the South. And the majority of their national positions are being held by southerners.
“So where is the justice Governor Wike is talking about. Time to reunite with your family my brother.
“Atiku Abubakar is the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the grace of God.”
